Architectural COB Downlights
Deep-recessed, low-glare COB engines with precision reflectors for clean architectural ceilings and controlled pools of light.
Architectural Lighting Design & Engineering
Lighting has the power to transform architecture, influence emotion, and define how every space is experienced. At Kerr, we design intelligent lighting solutions that combine engineering precision with timeless aesthetics for luxury residences, hospitality, commercial, and bespoke projects.
Kerr is not a lighting shop with a warehouse of fixed products. We operate as a design and engineering house — the fixture is the last decision we make, not the first.
Fifteen engineered families, each available as a standard specification or as the starting point for something made only for your project.
Deep-recessed, low-glare COB engines with precision reflectors for clean architectural ceilings and controlled pools of light.
A modular 48V track ecosystem — spots, floods, linear and pendant modules reconfigured in seconds without touching the ceiling.
Continuous runs, recessed profiles and suspended lines that draw architecture with uninterrupted light.
Adjustable, high-CRI track heads for flexible accenting where the layout evolves with the space.
Sculptural suspensions engineered with tuned suspension lengths, finishes and diffusion.
Statement pieces where light becomes ornament — metalwork, glass and hand-finished detail.
Pure and K9 crystal compositions, hand-assembled and scaled to double-height architecture.
Up-down grazers, readers and sconces that shape vertical surfaces and add depth after dark.
Slim surface-mounted engines for concrete slabs and ceilings where recessing is impossible.
IP-rated uplights, grazers and path optics that extend the architecture into the garden.
Weather-engineered decorative families for terraces, courtyards and arrival sequences.
Low-level, glare-free markers that make circulation safe without breaking the night mood.
Drive-over rated inground optics with tight beams for facade grazing and tree uplighting.
Fixtures developed from a sketch — dimension, optic, driver, finish and protocol built to the drawing.
Globally sourced designer pieces curated and specified alongside our engineered range.
Lighting today is a system, not a switch. Kerr specifies and programmes the control layer alongside the fixtures, so scenes, schedules and automation are designed in from day one — never retrofitted.
Reliable mesh smart lighting
Universal interoperability
Professional wired lighting control
Professional wireless lighting control
Most suppliers begin with a product code. Kerr begins with the architecture and the atmosphere it deserves — the fixture is simply the instrument that delivers it.
Precision-engineered hardware
What you see is the light. What determines whether it still looks this good in ten years is everything behind the aperture.
Binned Osram & Bridgelux emitters for consistent output.
Constant-current drivers with deep, flicker-free dimming.
Die-cast aluminium heat paths that protect lumen maintenance.
L80 B10 at 50,000+ hours under real installed conditions.
Ra 90–97 with R9 fidelity for skin tones, timber and textiles.
Sub 1% flicker for camera-safe, fatigue-free environments.
Faceted reflectors and TIR lenses with clean beam cut-off.
Deep recess, honeycomb louvres and UGR-controlled apertures.
3-step MacAdam ellipse binning across every batch.
Up to 110 lm/W without compromising colour quality.
Surge protected, tested and burned-in before dispatch.
Anodised, powder-coated and brushed metal detailing.
Beam angle is the difference between a lit room and a designed one. Select a distribution to see how the light lands and where it belongs.
Art, sculpture, tall feature walls and double-height drama.
Dining tables, joinery, reception desks and focal objects.
Living areas, corridors and balanced ambient layers.
Wide ambient coverage in bedrooms, offices and lounges.
Uniform illumination across walls, stone and texture.
Grazing and off-axis lighting with concealed sources.
Jewellery, retail displays and museum objects.
Large volumes, ceilings and open-plan interiors.
Corridors, long tables and rectangular surfaces.
The final millimetre of a fixture decides how comfortable the light feels. We choose it deliberately, per application.
Maximum transmission and crisp beam definition for accenting.
Softens the source and removes hot spots on nearby surfaces.
Cuts stray light and lowers UGR for visual comfort.
Impact and heat resistant sealing for outdoor and wet zones.
Precisely moulded beam control with minimal optical loss.
Durable, uniform diffusion for linear and surface fixtures.
Smooth luminance for decorative and cove applications.
Over 97% transmission with no colour shift over time.
Crystal is the most demanding discipline in lighting — optically, structurally and visually. Every Kerr chandelier is engineered for its ceiling before it is composed for its room.
Full-lead optical crystal with unmatched refraction and depth.
High-clarity K9 with brilliant sparkle and exceptional consistency.
Hand-cut, hand-strung and hand-assembled by master fabricators.
Stair voids and entrances scaled to the architecture.
Lobby and ballroom statements engineered for maintenance access.
Grand compositions with dimmable, scene-controlled warmth.
Suspension and load engineering for extreme drops.
Bespoke geometries developed from your interior concept.
Bring us a sketch, a mood, a ceiling plan or a photograph. Our engineering team develops the fixture — optics, electronics, structure and finish — and delivers it as a production-quality piece.
Bespoke linear chandelier — development render
A complete professional service, delivered by lighting designers and engineers rather than salespeople.
From private residences to public infrastructure, the discipline stays the same — only the scale changes.
Eleven deliberate stages, from first conversation to long-term support.
The questions architects, developers and homeowners ask us most often.
Start with how each room is used rather than with products. We map tasks, focal points and moods, then layer ambient, accent, task and decorative lighting so the space works at every hour of the day.
Colour Rendering Index measures how faithfully a light source reveals colour compared to natural light. We specify Ra 90+ as standard and Ra 97 with high R9 where skin tones, art and materials matter most.
Narrow beams of 10–24° for accenting art and features, 36° for general accent layers, and 60° or wider for ambient coverage. Ceiling height and the object's size determine the final choice.
Fixtures engineered with deep recess, honeycomb louvres or shielded optics so you see the illuminated surface, not the source. It keeps UGR low and interiors visually calm.
A low-voltage 48V track embedded into the ceiling that accepts magnetic spots, floods, linear and pendant modules — the layout can be changed at any time without electrical work.
Digital Addressable Lighting Interface, a wired professional protocol where every fixture is individually addressable for scenes, tuneable white (DT8), emergency testing and building integration.
A universal smart home standard that lets a single fixture work natively with Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa, protecting your installation against future ecosystem changes.
A reliable low-power mesh protocol. Each device strengthens the network, giving robust wireless control with scenes, schedules and voice across large residences.
Yes. Circadian scenes, occupancy, daylight harvesting, astronomical timing and scheduled scenes can be applied across the whole property, indoor and outdoor.
Lighting design is where every Kerr project begins. We produce layouts, lux calculations, beam studies and Dialux simulations before a single fixture is selected.
Yes. Diameter, drop, crystal type, frame finish, lamp count, colour temperature and control protocol are all built to your space and ceiling structure.
Custom dimensions are routine for us — linear runs, pendant clusters, recessed apertures and facade profiles are manufactured to your architectural drawings.
Standard warranty ranges from 2 to 5 years depending on product family, with extended cover available on project supply and full after-sales technical support.
Stocked ranges dispatch immediately. Customised fixtures typically take 3–6 weeks, and complex bespoke chandeliers 6–10 weeks including prototyping and approval.
Yes. Our teams handle installation, aiming, focusing, driver setup and full commissioning, coordinating with your electrical and interior contractors.
We work directly with architects and interior designers from concept stage, providing IES files, cut sheets, RCP mark-ups, simulations and specification support.
2700K for warm residential intimacy, 3000K for balanced luxury interiors, 4000K for workspaces and clinical areas. Tuneable white lets one fixture cover several moods.
Yes. We deliver false-colour lux maps, uniformity ratios, glare analysis and photorealistic renders so you can see the result before installation begins.
Our systems are designed for expansion. Additional magnetic modules, DALI addresses or Casambi nodes can be added without replacing the existing infrastructure.
We supply IP65 to IP68 rated inground, grazing, step and landscape fixtures engineered for coastal, tropical and high-humidity environments.
A supplier sells what is in the catalogue. Kerr designs the scheme, engineers or sources the right fixture, programmes the control system and supports it for its lifetime.
Yes. We calculate installed load per square metre, optimise beam distribution to reduce fixture counts and configure automation to cut unnecessary running hours.
Whether you're building a luxury residence, designing a hospitality project, or creating a bespoke commercial environment, Kerr delivers intelligent lighting solutions engineered around your vision.
